We offer a detached three bedroomed, two bathroomed house peacefully located in Via Marina, near Miami Playa - five minutes drive from a selection of beautiful beaches.
Included in the sale there is a retreat in the mountains twenty minutes away from the house, near the picturesque village of Tivissa. The views from this retreat over a valley to the nearby mountain range are most impressive.
The house is close to the quaint fishing port of Cambrils and one can reach Barcelona by car or train within 90 minutes. Our local airport is Reus approximatly 30 minutes away by car.
The property near the beaches is south facing and well maintained. Within 100 yards of the house there are many acres of open land covered in rosemary bushes, fir and Spanish oak trees, which is ideal for walking a dog. In the village there is free usage of a large swimming pool set in a garden with a bar.
All floors are ceramic tiled. There are electric heaters in all rooms and an open fire which provides a welcome source of free heat during the winter by using wood from the retreat in the mountain. All hot water and cooking is from one gas bottle which lasts for approximately 3 weeks to one month and costs 14 euros. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a Sky satellite TV and internet connection. There is an attractive terrace and a balcony leading from both upstairs bedrooms. The third bedroom is on the ground floor. A BBQ is built into the side of the house.
It takes 5 minutes by car to either reach long sandy beaches or secluded coves. Also there is a very long sandy naturist beach which is fringed with fir trees with the mountains behind.
Nearby, there is a golf club, tennis club, and horse riding.
The mountain retreat, which we use most week-ends, is near the village of Tivissa and is a 20 minute drive from the Via Marina property. This single storey building is set amongst 2 acres of terraced land with spectacular views across the valley to the nearby mountains. This tranquil area is home to boar, deer, red squirrels etc. and there are many interesting walks. There are few other properties and none within sight. The country lane leading from the C44 is council maintained, though the final 80 yards to the retreat is steep but in good order. A 4X4 is advisable for it.
Although there is no mains water or electricity in this area, there is a 12 volt lighting system and cooking is by gas bottle. There is a cast iron wood burning stove used for heating and some cooking. The water for washing/toilet is from 1,000 litre cubes.
The land benefits from 40 olive and 40 hazelnut trees. We have picked on average over 500 kilos of olives per year which we exchange for cash which we use to purchase olive oil at the local co-operative in nearby Vandellos.
Both properties have an Escritura/Deeds and are registered as required.
These properties can be bought individually or if together at a saving. If sold separately the house is offered for 185,000 euros and the retreat for 60,000 euros. |
